A veneer is a thin shell — usually porcelain, sometimes composite resin — bonded to the front surface of a tooth to correct its shape, size, or color. Composite bonding is faster and cheaper per tooth, while porcelain holds up longer and mimics natural enamel translucency more convincingly.
Getting veneers usually means a small amount of enamel is removed from the front of the tooth first, so the shell sits flush rather than bulky. Before committing, most patients see a preview — either digital or a temporary trial veneer — so there are no surprises with the final look.
Getting veneers doesn't replace the need for normal hygiene — the tooth underneath still needs the same care as any other. Grinding at night is one of the more common reasons veneers chip early, so a nightguard is often recommended alongside the procedure.
You approve the shape and shade digitally before the lab fabricates the final porcelain shells.
Choose long-lasting porcelain or same-day composite bonding depending on budget and timeline.
Minimal-prep veneers preserve more natural tooth structure when your case allows for it.
Veneers are shade-matched to your natural teeth or your desired brighter target shade.
Our network specialists cover the full range of this procedure, from the routine case to the complicated one.
The longer-lasting option, resistant to staining and closely mimicking natural enamel.
Sculpted and bonded directly to the tooth in a single visit, at a lower cost than porcelain.
A full smile makeover plans shape and shade across multiple teeth as one cohesive result.
Preserves more of your natural tooth compared to traditional veneer prep.
A single damaged veneer is typically addressed individually rather than requiring a full redo.
A preview simulation lets you approve your projected new smile before any permanent work begins.
A coordinator answers and asks a few quick questions about your specific case and how soon you need care.

Because enamel is prepped away for a proper fit, veneers generally aren't meant to be removed and left bare afterward.
Lifespan varies by habits like grinding, but a decade or more is typical for porcelain.
Modern porcelain closely mimics natural enamel translucency, and shade-matching avoids an artificial, overly white look.
Enamel prep is done under local anesthesia, so the procedure itself is generally not painful.
Veneers cover just the front surface of a tooth, while crowns encase the entire visible tooth structure.
Pricing depends on the number of teeth involved and material choice, confirmed during your consultation.
We keep an updated roster of specialists across Applewood and the surrounding zip codes, so a nearby provider is already in our network.
